This room, located in the Chemainus Health Care Centre, is available for short-term stays for people requiring care but still living at home. Its purpose is to provide relief for family care givers who need a break from the on-going demands of looking after a loved on their own. The person requiring care is allowed to use the room up to five weeks a year, is treated as a guest, and is included in all the activities of the Centre.
